ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

SUPER POWER PLAY WRITING:

Picture
This performance/workshop fosters creativity and resilience.

Mass Transit Actors perform their own Super Power Plays.

In the talk-back that follows, the actors explain that their stories are based on the premise that our powers to love, learn, and face fear are ‘Super’ in that they are limitless and can't be taken from us.

The actors take the students through a guided imagery exercise.

Students draw pictures, write or dictate their own stories.

The workshop culminates in a new collaborative Super Power Play performance.

MEDIATION SKILLS

Picture
Using puppets, actors perform common conflict situations for students while demonstrating mediation techniques.

Students then create their own puppet shows practicing active listening, identifying feelings and needs, and finding creative solutions.
